i was working on my external drive in search of a picture i took several years ago. it is a photograph of a particular tree in full bloom in our backyard that i wanted to include in my garden photo book. i found it of course, but not after going through myriad of picture files.
as i was combing through photographs, i was transported from one place and event to another. some pictures evoked emotions, most made me a big smile, others tugged the heart. pictures of our precious one since he was born clearly define how time flies. come July, he will turn five. praise be to God!
there are countless of celebrations and gatherings with beautiful people we’ve been blessed through the years, all frozen in time. drooled over food, lots of food. i burst into laughter, tickled at some precious moments, sentimental at others, nostalgic even. breathtaking sunsets and sunrise. the beauty of the sea and even the seemingly innocent deers at Mundelein and the picturesque Kylemore Abbey in Ireland brought fond memories. and pictures of the many favorite places i’ve been to somehow brought magic. i was riveted and grateful at the same time.
what a wonderful way to look back!
