what’s out there

after a sweltering week, summer is cooling off. the past few days have been very pleasant. i have the bedroom windows open especially in the evening to let the cool summer breeze in.

ajay set up a tent out in the backyard which has now become a favorite hangout. the little one loves it. when we are outdoors, he’s not picking out in the yard as much anymore gathering all sorts of things oftentimes playing with dirt. he usually goes into the tent with either the iPad or some toys or both. he has some books and coloring pads in there too. ajay hooked up a radio so it’s not unusual to find our little big guy in his space working on his moves to a dance beat.

the hydrangeas are past their peak but new yellow and pink blooms are out brightening and prettifying our little space. bright yellow flowers by the fence came as an awesome surprise and the hostas are not left behind either, boasting some pretty blooms as well as the snow on the mountains. the phlox are starting to come out and i can’t wait to smell their sweet scent.

A photographer and a gardener, you learn to appreciate and smell the roses.
