tj and i in mallard lake

some parts of the lake are still icy

we’ve been cooped up in the cold for such a long time and for a gorgeous day such as monday, it was almost a sin to stay indoors. i took a break from work and off to mallard lake we went. there was a light breeze and nary a cloud. the sun rays bursting adding more warmth. with his scooter, the little big guy and i walked to our hearts delight.

except for a few walkers and misty, a charming pony, mallard was quiet. the trees still bald and brown. the lake, though some parts still icy, was so refreshing to see it come alive. playful seagulls dotted the silvery blue waters and a fisherman was at the dock armed with three fish lines.

it was such a lovely day in spring, tj and i had so much fun.

I know this Winter has been extra cold. I work my Spring coat too on Monday only to go back to my Winter coat the next day. I bet TJ can’t wait for the change in weather. Mallard is still beautiful even though it is frozen.

thank you, Sylvia! 🙂 the weather here is like a roller coaster. after a gorgeous easter sunday and monday, temperature dipped to a cold spell tuesday. this morning is a bit chilly but supposed to warm up into the day.

A perfect gateaway to unwind, enjoy nature, quiet solitude. We should do a picnic when the weather gets nicer and stable…TJ looks so cute. love the pony picture.
