the graduates: matt and beto

hubby and i felt special to witness our friends’ graduation ceremony at the university of saint mary of the lake also known as mundelein seminary. it was a lovely spring afternoon befitting this joyful occasion.

beto and matt finished baccalaureate in sacred theology and master of divinity with honors. they have successfully completed the academic requirements for formation and beto (magna cum laude) and matt (summa cum laude) will be ordained priests in the very near future.

beto will be ordained on june 21 in the philippines and will be back in arizona to serve in the diocese of tucson. matt will be ordained for the archdiocese of chicago on may 17 where he will serve and will be back for further studies in mundelein for licentiate of sacred theology in the fall.

gerard finished master of divinity but we were unable to meet him after the ceremony. he will be ordained deacon also on may 17 and priest, God willing, on november 15 for the archdiocese of kansas city.

i see exuberance in the faces of these young men as they look forward to their ordination and to serve and live what they have been called for. we will cherish the wonderful times we shared during their residency at mundelein and we praise and thank God for the gift of priesthood.

congratulations!
