graham’s winery, porto

a brief stop in porto on the way to braga was a tour at graham’s winery and wine tasting of portugal’s most internationally famous product – port.

the drive to the winery was through narrow, winding and steep road and as we meandered, we were treated with stunning view of an arched metal bridge over the famous douro that connected directly to the heart of porto’s colorful urban tapestry. graham is steeped in history; we had a mini tour of the lodge and watched a video of the winery’s origin and how it has evolved to what is it today.

port wine is a portugese fortified wine produced exclusively in the douro valley in the northern provinces of portugal. it is typically sweet, red wine, often served as a dessert wine – wikipedia

  1. Perfect entry for the challenge, Lola. Those barrels are very large containers. 🙂
