travel theme: edge

november may not be the best month to visit the emerald isle, but lou, hubby and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay there several years ago. there were intermittent showers in the morning and mostly overcast. a cold snap by the coast but inland temperature was mild and temperate.

we visited many points of interests including killarney abbey and our lady of knock and experienced the amazing lush, green countryside of ireland.

one must see is the majestic cliffs of moher referred to as the edge of the world. it rendered us the most beautiful sunset that was truly breathtaking and spectacular.

along the cliff edge is the o’brien tower built in 1835 that was used as an observation tower. one can view as far as connemara, galway bay and aran islands on a clear day.

Another beautiful place! I managed Dingle and the Ring of Kerry but we didn’t get up as far as Moher. Some day, maybe πŸ™‚
