my entry to ailsa’s travel theme: colorful. taken during a short stop for souvenirs and camel ride on our way to lazaruz’ tomb in bethany, israel.
Fantastic! I want to hop right on. 🙂
quite a number in our group did. but i begged off. 🙂
Oh I am afraid I might have pushed little old people out of my way I would have been so excited to try. 🙂 Well not really as I would never do such a thing but you get my level of interest. 🙂
Great photo, Lola. What a pretty and colourful seat you had. I remember my camel ride in Egypt. It was quite unforgettable. I hope yours was better behaved. 🙂
thanks, Sylvia. i did not go near this beautiful creature let alone ride on it 🙂 i don’t think i’ll ever will after my scary experience in egypt, too, many years ago. maybe we rode on the same camel 🙂 my husband had fun riding though!
Wouldn’t that be a coincidence if we both had the same mischievous camel? 😀
Great choice, Lola! Riding a camel sounds like an adventure 🙂 Love this one!
thank you Amy! it sure is an interesting experience 🙂
The camel looked so poised and regal with the very colorful saddle. I would hate to ride on it, and messed up the beautiful saddle. Tho, I would love to try and ride a camel, some day…
this camel was very gentle. thanks for visiting and commenting, Viv! 🙂
And here I was about to ask if you had that came ride then I saw your reply to a comment that you begged off 🙂
I wonder if a camel ride is comfortable at all?
it’s just different but it looks like it is comfortable. thanks for visiting and commenting, Aletta! 🙂
really nice take on colorful – the camel’s pack and gear – and the people! I also like the lines and shapes int his pic – very nice 🙂
What a burst of color the camel’s saddle is. The trip to visit the tomb must have been sobering and interesting . I hope you had a great time.
thank you and welcome to simply beautiful! 🙂
