family visit

cousins whom i grew up with back home came for a short visit here in chicagoland. it was a sweet five-day family bonding; laughing and loving a lot. we had a blast just being together, mostly centered around the dining table, reminiscing, giggling, eating, and catching up with our lives.   we talked endlessly, shared milestones and fond memories and recounted stories that went on ‘til the wee hours. it was like going back in time, how we grew up as one big family in one big compound. we simply picked up where we left off as if time stood still, it was surreal.

we are all grateful for one another, for the fun and good times and the wonderful memories made that will last a lifetime. until the next reunion in the philippines and/or new zealand!
