lilac

lilac is a spring bloom that lasts for only a couple of weeks but hard to ignore because of its beauty and enchanting scent.  we went to a friend’s house yesterday and were greeted by its sweet fragrance.  it made me smile.

I love lilacs – and their scent. Your shot shows how abundant their flowering is…I have dark red, lilac and white in my garden – in full flower now.

One of my favorite flowers, for that luscious fragrance. I like this photo of such a robust bush of it.

I have had the hardest time getting my lilac’s to grow – they are sensitive for me – I have one finally doing okay – but maybe it is the soil (clay here in VA that we have to really work…) anyhow – I love your friend’s licks – and wish I could smell them
