hubby and i are blessed to have witnessed two ordinations during the month of may.

the first one was Radley’s diaconate ordination at Mundelein seminary. the second was Fr Paul’s ordination to the priesthood held at the Divine Word Chapel, a beautiful church in Techny. Fr Paul finished his studies at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and is a Divine Word missionary.  deacon Radley and father Paul are dear friends in the seminary.

Fr Paul has come a long way to the priesthood. his passion is music and is a gifted singer. evading a thought of becoming a priest early on, he pursued the academia and earned two bachelor’s degrees – one in music and the other in philosophy. he also earned a master’s degree in psychology with a concentration on child and family development and he taught children with special needs. he taught music too and composed songs. however, the ‘thought’ never really left him so a decade later, he joined the Society of the Divine Word, a catholic religious order that focuses on missionary work. the rest is history.
