nyhavn harbor

copenhagen’s pride is nyhavn harbor, a charismatic 17th century port and entertainment district lined with picturesque and brightly colored townhomes, bars, cafes and restaurants. it was home to hans christian andersen, the famous danish fairytale writer.  his waterfront townhouse no. 20, is where he wrote “the tinderbox”, “little claus and big claus” and “the princes and the pea.”

we took a guided boat tour passing under charming and historical bridges and saw this lovely city from a different perspective.

we had holy mass at the Jesu hjerte kirke (sacred heart of Jesus church) also in copenhagen

Thank You presenting Nyhavn. I think that I have been there twice and from my last visit has passed about 25 – 30 years.

I’d love to see Copenhagen for myself, LolaWi, and a boat tour would be perfect. 🙂 🙂
